Hyderabad: The Centre on Monday admitted within the Lok Sabha that it has no longer launched the yearly grant of Rs 450 crore for 3 monetary years totalling to Rs 1,350 crore, mandated underneath the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 for the advance of backward spaces in Telangana.
Replying to a query raised via BRS member Nama Nageshwara Rao, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, mentioned the Centre underneath Segment 94(2) of the AP Reorganisation Act and advice of NITI Aayog had launched Rs. 2,250 crore in 5 installments of Rs. 450 crore on the fee of Rs. 50 crore in step with district to the Telangana govt for the advance of 9 backward districts of the State.
The Minister mentioned Rs.450 crore annual grant used to be launched to the State for 5 years from 2015-19 and 2020-21. The quantity used to be on the other hand no longer launched all the way through the years 2019-20, 2021-22, 2022-23. The grant used to be launched in response to the advice of the NITI Aayog and submission of Usage Certificates via the State govt and topic to availability of sources with the union Govt, he mentioned.
Remaining 12 months, Finance Minister T Harish Rao had written a letter to union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman,urging her to unencumber Rs 900 crore price range in an instant in opposition to the advance of backward districts, however to this point there is not any reaction from her.
Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and Khammam had been declared as backward districts via the Centre.
